About Us

My name is Ashley Howard, and I am the owner of Ashley Nicole Counseling Services. I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker in Ohio and Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Connecticut who provides teletherapy services to young adults, adults, and couples. Clinically, I am most successful working with individuals who are looking to work on relationship issues (peer, family, romantic, parent-child, work, etc), anxiety, depression, and caregiver/parenting support & struggles. I enjoy helping clients identify their goals, develop skills to work toward those goals, and feel more confident in their own abilities.

I take a strength-based approach to my work with clients and utilize these strengths to help people grow and build their skills. My clinical approach is individualized, and I pull from a variety of modalities used in individual and couples therapy. Additionally, I take a trauma-informed approach to my work with clients.

I strive to offer a safe and open therapeutic space, which includes continued work to be part of the following allyships and communities: LGBTQIA+ Allied, Body Positivity, HIV Allied, Open Relationships, Non-Monogamy, Racial Justice Allied, Sex Worker Allied, Sex-Positive.
